Before & After
A dental crown is a cap that covers a damaged or decayed tooth. Dentists often place crowns after root canal treatment. Dentists also use crowns as part of implant dentistry to restore missing teeth. At our Clairemont office, we produce precisely crafted crowns and other restorations in a single office visit using advanced CEREC technology.
Dental implants are titanium rods that act as prosthetic tooth roots. Once implants are placed in the jawbone, they provide outstanding support for crowns, bridges, or dentures. For most patients with missing teeth, dental implants are the best restoration option available in modern dentistry.
Crooked teeth make many adults and teens feel self-conscious. While traditional orthodontics like metal braces are effective at straightening teeth, they can be unsightly and uncomfortable. Our doctor is a provider of the Invisalign system, which uses clear, removable aligners to discreetly and comfortably straighten teeth.
If your smile is affected by surface-level cosmetic issues like chipped, cracked, or stained teeth, porcelain veneers may be right for you. Veneers are ultra-thin ceramic shells that our dentist can attach to the front of teeth to conceal imperfections. They are made from durable, natural-looking materials that can be color-matched to the surrounding teeth.
The staff has not only treated me with care but they have also been very good to my husband and now my three-year-old son. If you're looking for a great dentist in the San Diego area, Bay View Dental is the way to go for sure! :)View On Google
They were very polite, friendly, and efficient. The exam and cleaning went great, and they didn't try to pressure me into getting anything extra done.
Why Should I See a Dentist?
We understand that taking the time to visit the dentist can be inconvenient and, for many people, a cause of anxiety. However, basic at-home care is simply not enough to keep your teeth and gums as healthy as possible.
The American Dental Association recommends seeing a dentist and undergoing regular checkups as often as the dentist recommends. Regular appointments at our dental practice in San Diego have many benefits, including:
- Thorough cleanings that eliminate plaque and bacteria that brushing and flossing can't remove
- Early detection of potentially dangerous conditions like gum disease or tooth infections
- Preventive treatments that make the development of oral health issues less likely
- Cosmetic benefits like whiter teeth and healthier-looking gums
If you are missing out on the advantages of modern dentistry because of dental anxiety, you should seek a practice that treats patients with understanding, compassion, and respect. Our doctor and his team have calm and friendly dispositions that put both adults and children at ease. If that kind of care is something you are ready to experience, schedule a free consultation with our team today.
Dentistry for All Ages
At our dental practice in Clairemont, serving Pacific Beach and surrounding communities, we provide dental care to toddlers, children, teens, adults, and seniors. We encourage parents to schedule appointments for themselves and their children at the same time. Bringing your child to an all-ages dentist has multiple benefits. Besides the obvious advantage of receiving necessary dental attention, children who become comfortable visiting the dentist are less likely to experience dentistry-related anxiety later in life, and seeing a dentist who cares for all ages can provide decades-long continuity of care for young patients.
